FIELD: determining residual capacity of lead storage battery as function of discharge current and voltage during any moment of its discharge. SUBSTANCE: method involves predetermining family of dependences showing discharge voltage as function of discharge capacity for storage battery of same type at basic rates of discharge (1-, 2-, 5-, 10- 20- and 50-h); these values and discharge voltage of storage battery of same type during current moment of discharge for discharge current of interest, as well as results of integration of discharge current in the course of discharge, and measurement data on discharge current are used for calculating residual capacity of storage battery discharged by current of interest. EFFECT: improved accuracy.
