FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: given procedure refers to methods determining residual capacitance of lead-acid cell at any moment of its discharge. Procedure is based on preliminary determination of dependence of discharge voltage adjusted to 30 C for lead-acid cell on discharge capacitance and discharge current adjusted to 30 C under key discharge conditions ( 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50 100 hour ). This dependence as well as values of discharge voltage, discharge current, generated capacitance and electrolyte temperature at moment when it is required to determine residual capacitance for given discharge current are used to compute and correct it with the use of coefficient of change of total capacitance of lead-acid cell in process of operation and with the use of coefficient of decrease of residual capacitance while transferring from greater discharge current to lesser current. EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of residual capacitance of lead-acid cell. 3 tbl
