FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: connector has plug and socket placed in respective shrouds. The latter are embraced by union nut installed on external collar of socket shroud and provided with thread on inner surface, on plug-in side of socket. Union nut is made of material capable of shielding against external X-rays and has two parts; inner surface of first part which is on plug-in side of socket has stepped shape in which first step is threaded; second part which is beyond shroud collar on cable connection side is cap-shaped structure with through hole; outer surface of cap base is step-shaped and mates shape of portion of stepped inner surface of first part rigidly fixed to it; when joined together, both parts form annular slot on inner surface of nut above collar of socket shroud; maximum diameter over outer surface of first part equals diameter of outer cylindrical surface over second part of nut; total length of union nut depends on direction and its thickness, on intensity of radiation. EFFECT: improved shielding of connector contacts against external radiation. 1 dwg
