POSITION PICKUP Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: testing equipment, triggering of recording equipment in experimental studies of high-speed interaction of bodies. SUBSTANCE: position pickup has case with through, axial, stepped conduit. Case is mounted on muzzle face of barrel. Pressure bushing and ring casing with sensitive element made in the form of first springy, circular, insulating base, membrane contact element, insulating spacer with holes, contact elements with contact lands placed concentric on second insulating base arranged in sequence are anchored in series in direction of travel of firing pin inside axial conduit of case coaxially on it. Casing rests against step of axial conduit of case and against circular protrusion of pressure bushing made in its outer side surface and corresponding to this step. Pressure bushing is fitted with cut conical collar located on side of its outer butt in outer side surface and rests against reciprocal conical facet of axial conduit in case and with circular protrusion located in its inner side surface, behind sensitive element in direction of travel of firing pin. Inner diameter of protrusion is smaller than caliber of barrel. EFFECT: fast response of position pickup and initiation of equipment at moment firing pin goes out of muzzle face of throwing installation. 3 dwg
