FIELD: DC power transmission. SUBSTANCE: system has transmitting substation incorporating generator and step-up transformer, receiving substation that has receiving unit and negative-potential shaper; both substations are interconnected through high-voltage line. Transmitting substation has, in addition, rectifier and capacitor bank; receiving unit of receiving substation has high-voltage receiving capacitor. Input of high-voltage DC-to-AC converter is connected to receiving capacitor and its output, to step-down transformer primary windings. Negative-potential shaper of receiving substation has DC power supply, DC-to-AC converter, current amplifying and rectifying devices connected to capacitor bank whose negative lead is connected to that of high- voltage receiving capacitor, and charging unit. One end of high-voltage line is connected to positive lead of transmitting-station capacitor bank and other end, to positive lead of high- voltage receiving capacitor of receiving substation. Transmitting substation shapes positive electric charges and transmits them to receiving substation which converts positive electric charges into commercial-frequency three-phase current and conveys it to users.
