FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying contrast echocardiography by means of intravenous injection of 0.3 % hydrogen peroxide solution containing in total amount of 2.0-3.0 ml per 1 kg of patient body mass at a rate of 6.0-8.0 ml/min. Interatrial partition defect being detected, contrast passage from the right to the left auricle is recorded at the moment functional tests are carried out after infusing 75% or more of the available amount of the solution. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability in diagnosing the cases of interatrial defect.
