FIELD: methods of semicontinuous molding of articles from titanium alloy charge materials; may be used in manufacture of consumable electrodes of titanium alloys for subsequent vacuum electric arc remelting into ingots. SUBSTANCE: prior to filling of the first portion of charge of next article, pushed through mold is gage in the form of disc 20-100 mm thick and with diameter exceeding that of mold gaging hole by 5-25 mm. Gage is made of alloy corresponding to the alloy of molded article or from pure titanium. EFFECT: reduced labor input in operation of removal of stuck metal (jacket) from mold walls, higher quality of molded articles. 1 dwg
