FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of charge portion consisting of coarse, medium and fine fractions simultaneously from weigher to mixer. After mixing, charge portion is moved over trough to die. Fractions of charge while moving over trough 2 m long undergo redistribution:coarse and medium fractions get into die first, and then, fine fraction. Coarse and medium fractions are sponge and lumpy wastes, and fine fraction comprising alloying composition, fine sponge and chips. Molding is began just after coarse and medium fractions enter the die receiving part, and fine fraction is cut-off by press-stamp to be remained on the trough end. The remaining part of portion consists of pieces of charge of fine and medium fractions. This part of portion, due to high-strength properties of first two components worser undergoes molding than the main mass. After lifting of press-stamp, the remaining part of portion is first to get into recess of shaped working part of press-stamp, and from atop at this time, part of next portion is poured which is more plastic. Such a redistribution of fractions of one portion improves quality of molded electrode. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
