FIELD: molding of consumable electrodes for melting ingots of highly reactive metals and alloys, for instance, titanium alloys by method of vacuum arc remelting. SUBSTANCE: in molding of consumable electrode, no alloying addition is introduced into the first portion of change materials. In molding of electrodes of high alloys alloying additions into the first portion of change are introduced in amount of 30-70%. EFFECT: provision of stability of chemical composition of melted alloys, reduced heterogeneity of metal structure and ensured stability of physico-mechanical properties. 1 tbl
