FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: producing drinking water and treating industrial drains are accomplished by integrated electric-reagent method, which would find wide application in national economy when producing foods, drugs, alcohol and alcohol-free beverages, and also high-quality industrial water from waste water. A two-step electrochemical treatment of initial water is followed by stepwise isolation of precipitate while adding acidic reagent mixture in the first step and alkaline reagent mixture in the second step. Process is largely provided with informational control and automated microprocessor regulation to ensure optimal conditions during start-up, shot-down, and operating-duty periods. EFFECT: reduced (5-10-fold) consumption of reagents and power, optimized mineral salt contents in drinking water, and conditions for recycling water supply provided. 2 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
