FIELD: electrochemistry, treatment of water with sodium hypochlorite produced at consumption site by electrolysis of underground mineralized water carrying sodium chloride. SUBSTANCE: electrolysis is carried out under flow mode with mineralized water supplied by gravity flow. Proposed flow electrolyzer has tank with inlet and outlet branch pipes and chambers to inject and discharge solutions, vertical laminated electrodes installed in tank between mentioned chambers grouped in cassettes placed in parallel and spaced apart with reference to each other. Each cassette has two monopolar and intermediate bipolar electrodes positioned with minimal interelectrode gaps. Lower edges of laminated electrodes are placed at some distance from bottom of tank to form passage for flow of sodium chloride under laminar mode.
