FIELD: chemical technology, production of engine fuel. SUBSTANCE: engine fuel has light oil fraction (boiling point is 15-160 C), alkylbenzene fraction (boiling point is 110-200 C), fusel oil fraction (boiling point is 90-145 C) and ether-aldehyde fraction (boiling point is 70-90 C) that is a by-side product forming at ethyl alcohol production at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: alkylbenzene fraction 10-35; fusel oils 5-10; ether-aldehyde fraction 5-10, and light oil fraction - the rest. Also, engine fuel has additionally an anticorrosive addition agent at amount 0.05-0.5% of total engine fuel mass that prevents corrosion of metallic surfaces at its contact with engine fuel if water gets into fuel. The obtained gasoline has high octane number (75 and 92, respectively) and has no toxic additions. EFFECT: simplified technology, decreased cost, broadened raw base. 4 cl, 2 tbl
