FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, rolling of low-alloy steel strips. SUBSTANCE: method involves rolling in wide-strip rolling mill with group of finishing stands; cooling at time during transfer from one stand to another and in sections of spraying device on discharge roller conveyor, with rolling temperature mode depending on carbon equivalent of steel; setting temperature at final rolling stage for carbon equivalent of 0.39-0.45% within the range of 780-830 C; for carbon equivalent of 0.46-0.50% - 800-850 C; for carbon equivalent of 0.51-0.56% - 820-870 C. Carbon equivalent of steel is determined by dependence: , where C, Si, Mn are carbon, silicon and manganese contents in steel, %; providing temperature across strip front and rear ends during winding within the range of 550-570 C and across mid portion within the range of 500-520 C, with temperature being continuously variable from strip ends to its mid portion; switching spraying device sections in the course of advancement of strip in succession determined by Fibonacci row: 1,2,3,5,8,13,21..., where first and subsequent sections are defined by figures. EFFECT: improved quality and uniform microstructure and increased planeness of strip. 2 cl, 7 dwg
