FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed system has fuel reservoir filled with liquid hydrocarbon fuel and connected with surface pyrolysis reactor which has fuel space and space connected to engine exhaust gas line. Fuel vapor-and-steam mixer is installed on fuel line inside reactor, and hardening-and-evaporating unit connected with air and pyrolysis product mixer is installed on the same line behind the reactor. Set has vapor space whose outlet is placed in communication with inlet into steam and fuel vapor mixer. Oxidation catalyst placed inside reactor space communicates with engine exhaust gas line. System is furnished with engine supercharging device consisting of compressor and driven steam turbine. EFFECT: increased economy. 5 cl, 2 dwg
