FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. This method for a vehicle engine is carried out in engine (10) having engine cylinders divided into first cylinder group (18) dedicated for exhaust gas recirculation and second cylinder group (17) consisting of the remaining engine cylinders. Said method consists in the fact that dedicated exhaust gas recirculation cylinder group (18) is operated with fuel supply adjusted so that the air-fuel ratio of the combustion process in the cylinder is enriched relative to the stoichiometric one. When this is done, the supply of a larger amount of purge air in comparison with the other cylinders of the engine is achieved due to the positive shut-off of intake valve (62) relative to exhaust valve (64). Cylinder group (18) dedicated for recycling exhaust gases recirculates exhaust gases at the engine intake through first turbine (176), different from second turbine (76), which receives the exhaust gases from the rest of the engine cylinders. Operation is performed in response to the pedal being depressed by the vehicle operator. Disclosed is an embodiment of a method for a vehicle engine and engine system.
EFFECT: reduction of turbo lag while ensuring high exhaust gas recirculation in conditions of high boost pressure.
