FIELD: measurement technology, design of various automated instruments and systems measuring octane number of clear gasoline in the course of its production, storage and testing. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes electron unit, radiation source, photodetector, dish, matrix of filters. Device makes it feasible to measure octane numbers of clear gasolines with high precision of 0.3 points and has small weight and low manufacturing cost.
