FIELD: testing of equipment of electronic reconnaissance . SUBSTANCE: radar which carrier is included in range of frequencies reconnoitered by electronic reconnaissance equipment and which energy potential is sufficient to form signal exceeding real sensitivity of electronic reconnaissance equipment at maximum range from radar is selected. Aircraft carrying electronic reconnaissance equipment conducts flights remaining in principal beam of antenna radiation pattern of radar approaching radar or flying away from it. Maximum and minimum distances from radar at which receiver of electronic reconnaissance equipment maintains specified characteristics are fixed. Dynamic range is calculated by formula DD=(Rmax/Rmin)2, where Rmax, Rmin are maximum and minimum distances between radar and receiver of electronic reconnaissance equipment. EFFECT: increased maximum power of output signal used to measure dynamic range.
