FIELD: nuclear engineering. SUBSTANCE: spacer grid has frame mounting rows of parallel plates forming fuel-rod cells and flexible members holding fuel elements in grid. Frame is made for elastic variation of its shape; plates are arranged in three rows not intersecting in space and forming rectangular-shape cells, as viewed from top, to receive fuel elements. Plates are made of nickel and chromium alloy base materials and flexible members are built integral with frame. EFFECT: simplified design of grid, improved reliability of locking fuel elements in position, reduced pressure drop in fuel assemblies. 6 cl, 3 dwg
