FIELD: metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: invention subject is method of regulation of level of liquid metal meniscus in mold of metal continuous casting plant in compliance with which electric signals are received which are generated by at least one pair of transducers located directly above said meniscus. Signals present the function of respective distances (h1, h2) between transducers and meniscus. These two signals are combined to produce one signal which is representative with respect to the conventional level of meniscus, and this signal is sent to means of device control for regulation of flow rate of liquid metal entering the mold. These control means actuate the device of regulation so as to bring convention level of meniscus to some preset value (h). The invention is distinguished by normalization of each signal generated by transducers to preclude variations having at the same time, frequency exceeding some first threshold value and amplitude below some second threshold value. EFFECT: higher quality of regulation of liquid metal level in mold of metal continuous casting plant. 6 cl, 1 dwg
