FIELD: medical engineering; ophthalmomicrosurgical instruments. SUBSTANCE: guiding tube of device is introduced into eye cavity. Device has piston provided with attachment made of flexible material. Attachment is represented by cone-shaped sleeve. Open part of sleeve may be shifted under effect of variable pressure forces. Flexible artificial lens is moved through output channel of device by exerting pressure on piston. If continuous and uniform movement of flexible artificial lens through output channel is obstructed, pressure rise in system to more than 50 mm Hg causes displacement of attachment open part and reduction of pressure inside system due to forcing out of portion of viscoelastic solution. Thus hazard of abrupt pushing of flexible artificial lens into eyeball cavity under action of excess pressure is avoided, which ensures implantation of flexible artificial lens without development of hard operative complications.
