FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves implanting an artificial eye lens without support of posterior lens capsule including lens implantation into the posterior chamber and suture fixation of the latter to the iris. Two diametrically opposing sutures are put in on the pupil edge of the iris before implanting the lens. The sutures are tightened after the implantation until full envelopment of the place where the casing joins haptic lens members. The sutures are put in 1-1.5 mm apart from the pupil edge of the iris. One stitch length is equal to 3-4 mm on the iris. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications; accelerated operation. 3 cl, 2 dwg
