FIELD: VHF-FM and TV broadcasting, pager stations and other systems of meter and decimeter waves. SUBSTANCE: invention solves problem of antenna system elevated high above surface of the Earth that has circular directional pattern in horizontal plane when there is no free space for it on top of tower. Antenna system includes system distributing power and radiators arranged around belt with formation of cells by centers of radiators spaced along axis of belt slightly inclined relative to surface of the Earth. Belt in this case penetrates each cell. It is suggested that planes of cells should be positioned perpendicular to belt and radiators should be mounted at equal distances from belt. Symmetric dipoles are used as radiators. It is permitted to turn radiators of one level relative to radiators of another level. Realized version of antenna system with radiators in the form of stud-vibrators is described in detail. Proposed antenna system is distinguished for its small mass, one order less than that of traditional antenna systems with panel radiators. EFFECT: small mass and reduced area subject to action of wind. 6 cl, 4 dwg
