FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: granular porous material for chemical processes represents a catalyst or carrier in the form of granules having a definite geometric shape obtained by pressure moulding of powder containing a component of catalyst or carrier, or source substances for them; the porosity indices are such that at least 70% of the volume of pores have a radius corresponding to the maximum value on the pore distribution curve. Catalyst and carriers are obtained by pressure moulding; the used lubricant is applied onto the surface of moulding chamber (external lubrication).
