FIELD: dehydrogenation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: catalyst contains, as active components, ferric oxide and promoters selected from alkali and alkali- earth metal oxides, lanthanoid series oxides, and chromium, tungsten, and molybdenum oxides. Catalyst is made in the form of granules having particular cylindrical shape with one or more through-holes. Granules are prepared by direct compacting of powders of precursors and/or active components utilizing grease applied onto walls of master form and onto master form punches.
