FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to manufacturing slabs and panels for inside and outside facing of buildings, floor coverings, staircase steps, and other building parts as well as for manufacturing monolith structures. Method includes mixing magnesite powder, mineral filler, and aqueous solution of magnesium chloride; molding parts; and their hardening. Mineral filler is activated by combined grinding with chemical additive and/or mineral filler until specific surface of particles attains value 1000-3500 sq.cm/g. More specifically, building mix contains, wt %: magnesite powder, 15-40; magnesium chloride solution (density 1.07-1.25 g/cu.cm), 10-45; mineral additive consisting of electrothermophosphorus slag or pyrite ashes or their mixture, 2-10; chemical additive, 0.007-0.7; and mineral filler, the balance.
