FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cast iron containing carbon, silicon, manganese, chrome, nickel, vanadium, iron and additionally nitrogen and rare-earth metals at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: carbon 2.8-3.2; silicon 0.8-1.4; manganese 0.3-0.5; chrome 14.0-16.0; nickel 0.2-0.3; vanadium 0.1-0.8; nitrogen 0.1-0.3; rare-earth metals 0.01-0.2, and iron - the rest. Alloyed cast iron is used for making articles working under conditions of increased wear and cyclic loadings. EFFECT: increased strength and endurance limit. 1 cl, 1 tbl
