FIELD: insulating materials. SUBSTANCE: polymeric compound for insulating electric wires has first polymer (polyester) possessing its own oxygen index not over 21 wt.% and up to 40 wt.% t of polyamide-siloxane copolymer. Preferable polyesters are polybutylene- terephthalate or ester/polyester block copolymers. Preferable wire design is that with polyethylene or polyester covered core and polyester/polyamide-siloxane sheath overall. EFFECT: improved fire resistance of cable. 11 cl, 4 dwg
