FIELD: fuel gasification. SUBSTANCE: in a suitable pressure vessel, concentrically disposed are gasification reactor, fast-cooling tube, and convection pot. Crude gas axially leaving gasification reactor in upward direction is introduced into cooling tube fixed in the top zone of vessel. Into the same tube, simultaneously cold gas is supplied. Resultant gas mixture flow is deviated by 180 deg. with the aid of swing gate, located symmetrically with respect to cooling tube axis, and is transformed into gas stream passing through hollow cylinder. This stream is directed into convection pot in the form of hollow cylinder surrounding cooling tube. Crude gas stream coming out of convection pot is discharged by special means. Gas flow velocity is set such that slag and ash particles entrained by crude gas as consequence of deviation of its direction were carried into convection pot. Gas flow velocity in gas-discharge means is set such that above-mentioned particles were removed. EFFECT: avoided necessity for using refractory linings in gasification apparatus and simplified removal of scale. 5 cl, 7 dwg
