FIELD: means of individual protection of personnel of militia, troops of the Ministry of International Affairs, armed forces and other persons used whenever necessary. SUBSTANCE: the shield is made of rigid protective segments with preset resistance to impacts, interconnected for turning through a preset angle by means of a spring-loaded rod hinge joint, whose axle is made in the form of a torsion spring whose ends are engaged with sections of the respective adjacent protective segments. The shield is furnished with rotary retainers of the protective segments, two belts for attachment on the person and elastic shock-absorbing components. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of individual protection, compact in the initial position and quickly deployed in case of necessity, enhanced resistance and high shock- absorbing capability to impacts of rigid bodies. 6 dwg
