FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: reversible gearbox has housing, driving shaft, countershaft and driven shaft on which gears are installed which are in meshing with each other. Gears installed on driven shaft and countershaft are made in form of sectional gear clusters installed for sliding to change direction of driven shaft rotation. Gearbox has actuating mechanism with control device to provide above indicated displacement of gears. Driven gear cluster has two bevel gears with spiral teeth and central part. Two screw cavities cut on surfaces of cylindrical part change from left-hand start into right-hand start and from right-hand start into left-hand start cavities being extensions of cavities of each above indicated bevel gears. Intermediate gear cluster has two spiral bevel gears connected by their larger bases and spherical segment located on end face of intermediate gear cluster. Loop tooth cut on spherical segment is extension of teeth of one of bevel gears being made for engagement with above-indicated screw cavities of driven gear cluster. EFFECT: reduced dynamic loads at reversing, enhanced efficiency and increased service life of gearbox. 4 cl, 10 dwg
