FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to diagnosing disturbance of ligamentous apparatus of lens under its first- and second-degree subluxation. Corneal paracentesis is performed. Anterior chamber of eye is filled with a volume of filler sufficient to create excessive pressure to rotate lens. Manipulation is performed against a background of reflex induced by coaxial illumination of microscope. Site of rupture is determined from movement direction of reflex shadow and from segment of largest depth of anterior chamber. Method gives an idea of site and extent of rupture of ligament of lens as well as of presence of vitreous body in anterior chamber. EFFECT: facilitated choice of method of removal of lens and solving of problems associated with indications for implantation of artificial lens.
