FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when extracting cataract with controlled opening of anterior capsule. Lens liquor is evacuated during extracapsular extraction by aspiration-irrigation technique. Evacuation begins with introduction of viscose preparation, for instance, visitile, into central zone of capsule sac. Mixture of lens liquor with irrigation fluid is aspirated by the aid of aspiration cannula. For that, working end of cannula is consecutively and equatorially displaced from border of cut of anterior capsule. If cannula is clogged, it must be removed from the eye cavity, emptied, and refilled with irrigation fluid. Thereafter, cannula is returned into the same place, and, once fluid is fed, aspiration is continued. EFFECT: facilitated removal of eye liquor. 2 cl, 2 ex
