FIELD: ophthalmosurgery; may be used in surgical correction of extensive defect of eye iris (with damage rate more 120) associated with cataract. SUBSTANCE: capsular sac is used after removal of its contents. Front capsule is opened in central zone by cutting out of round flap with smooth edges 3-4 mm in diameter. Lenticular masses are removed partially. Cortical layers in zone of projection of eye iris defect are left intact. In case of large nucleus, it is necessary to perform additional expansion of opening of front capsule by its dissection in zone of projection of preserved eye iris.
