METHOD OF PROPHYLAXIS AND TREATMENT OF BURN PATIENTS WITH SEPSIS Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, anesthesiology, reanimatology. SUBSTANCE: method involves treatment of leukocytes taken from severe burnt patient with thymus preparation immunophan. Blood is taken from vein of patient at amount 400-500 ml, flask with heparinized blood is centrifuged at the rate 2000 rev/min for 15 min and plasma is removed. Leukocyte film is placed into sterile flask and diluted with 200-250 ml of 0.9% NaCl solution and 200-250 ml of medium-199. Red cells are recovered to patient. Immunophan at amount 75-125 mcg leukocytes is added in flask and obtained solution is incubated at 37 C for 90 min followed by repeated centrifugation (2000 rev/min for 15 min). Solution before leukocyte film is removed and leukocytes are washed out three times with 390-485 ml of 0.9% NaCl sterile solution. Washed out leukocytes are diluted with 50-100 ml of 0.9% NaCl and infused intravenously by drops to patient.
