FIELD: flying vehicles possessing properties of aircraft and helicopter. SUBSTANCE: propulsor is provided with two flapping diaphragms oscillating in opposite phases. Diaphragms are provided with check valves at outlet side whose one end is articulated on body formed, for example, by wing spars and through aerodynamic fins; rear walls of body are hinged. Lifting flapping plane is formed by flapping propulsors located longitudinal and transversely in many rows in cells of lattice structure formed in its turn by spars and through aerodynamic fins. Modes of flight are determined by change of average angle of attack of flapping diaphragms and position of swivel of rear wall. In horizontal flight, lifting force is also ensured by wings made in form of strips between aerodynamic fins; they are so located that do not interfere with entrapping air flow and throwing it away by flapping diaphragms. In horizontal flight, wings unload flapping propulsors, thus providing for high safety of flight in case of engine stoppage. Control flapping aircraft is effected by means of active tail unit whose movable parts are oscillating ensuring effective control at low and zero speeds in hovering. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of flying vehicles possessing properties of aircraft and helicopter. 5 cl, 7 dwg
