FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has housing, tape pulling mechanism in form of system of rollers, loop forming mechanism with desk and clamps for tape, welding mechanism in form of lever on which welding head is mounted, drives and tape cutting knife. Device has also control unit and program disk with angular displacement pickup to provide synchronous operation of drives of tape pulling, welding and loop forming mechanisms. Welding and loop forming mechanisms have common drive on shaft of which system of cams and program disk are mounted. The latter is coupled with control unit through pickup. Tape pulling mechanism has pickup to determine length of tape at forming the loop, and feed channel which is furnished, in its turn, with tape presence pickup. Self-adjusting head of welding mechanism is spring-loaded relative to lever on which plate to direct tape to knife is secured. Desk of loop forming mechanism is mounted for turning relative to horizontal axis, and tape cutting knife is secured on pressure lever. Use of electronic control (control unit, program disk and system of pickups), combination of drives of loop forming and welding mechanisms, arrangement of their slave mechanisms on common shaft together with program disk make it possible to materially simplify the design of machine and enhanced its reliability and accuracy in operation.
