FIELD: mining technology. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in mining thick steep seams of minerals. Method implies preparation of sublevels by driving upper and lower sublevel drifts with formation of safety pillars above lower sublevel drifts. Also driven are compensation drifts. Drilled from compensation drifts are bore-holes up to upper sublevel drifts with subsequent simultaneous blasting of coal in block to safety pillar. Breaking of pillar with loading to conveyor is performed simultaneously over entire length of block by drilling and blasting method. Transportation of coal to intermediate chute breakthroughs is carried out by conveyors installed in lower sublevel drift over entire length of block being mined. Application of aforesaid method allows for improving safety of mining operations and efficiency of coal recovery. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 7 dwg
