FIELD: nuclear physics.

SUBSTANCE: constructor of symmetrical models of atomic nuclei (SMN) relates to nuclear physics and is used for scientific research and demonstration of the structure of the atomic nucleus. SMN constructor consists of models of protons, neutrons and alpha particles (nuclei of four helium atoms). In the SMN constructor, one proton or neutron can have only one connection with the other proton or neutron and not more than three connections with different protons or neutrons, therefore connections of nucleons in the nucleus acquire a strictly matched structure. Method of calculating the number of protons, neutrons and alpha particles which are part of the atomic nucleus and calculation of the number of connections between these particles is carried out through a known value – total binding energy of the atomic nucleus. SMN construction set is used as a visual aid for demonstrating axially symmetrical elongated or flattened structures of a nucleus and displaying bonds between nucleons.

EFFECT: design of a SMN constructor which enables simulation of the structure of atomic nuclei based on scientific data and understanding conditions under which synthesis, decay and fission of nuclei takes place.
