FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly processing of polymeric compositions useful for biological protection from neutron irradiation. SUBSTANCE: amorphous boron and graphite are premixed with powdery fluoroplastic and semi-finished products are pressed. Chip is produced by sharpening and crushed to powdery state. Polyethylene is added to crushed product, mixed and extruded. The claimed method makes it possible to press components free from defects, and ultimate rupture strength is not less than 160 kg/sq.cm. EFFECT: improved properties of the polymeric composition. 2 cl, 10 ex, 1 tbl
