FIELD: composite materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing boron-containing materials based on amorphous boron and polypropylene suitable for use biological protection against neutron emissions. Granulated polypropylene is preliminarily mixed with amorphous boron at boron-to-polypropylene ratio (10+/-2): (90+/-2), resulting mixture extruded and pressed into preliminary blank. To powdered is added amorphous boron to give composition containing 75% boron and 25% polypropylene. This composition is charged into press mold and pressed into final blank. The latter is subjected to mechanical treatment to form powdered high-filled composition with ultimate stress limit at least 10 MPa. EFFECT: enabled manufacturing blanks free of defects (microporosities, blisters, peeling) and increasing strength characteristics of parts at lower (by 15%) cost. 1 tbl, 6 ex
