FIELD: chemical industry, production of highly filled graphite-bearing compound. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of processing the highly filled graphite-bearing materials, which are used for preparation of a biological protection against neutron radiations. The method provides that synthetic graphite in amount of 38 ± 5 mass % is mixed with granular polypropylene - the rest, then this mass is extruded and pressed. Produced work-piece is transformed into chips, crushed till it becomes a powder, in which they add the synthetic graphite till they have a compound of the given composition, then it is mixed and pressed into the final workpiece. Then this final workpiece is once more transformed into chips and crushed till it becomes a powder. EFFECT: the stated method allows to press the workpieces free of defects - microporosity, pits, stratifications and to increase strength properties of the workpieces. 10 ex, 1 tbl
