FIELD: mechanical engineering; power device for transmission of piston force to engine shaft. SUBSTANCE: engine has housing accommodating two pairs of pistons, each arranged on one axle, pistons are rigidly interconnected by rod and rack. Both pairs are placed in cylinders which are also arranged coaxially in pairs in housing. Racks are placed in guides with support of frames. Lever with pin is rigidly secured on end of shaft and is coupled with other lever through connecting rod rigidly secured on flywheel shaft. Connecting rod has threaded joint to provide change in length. EFFECT: increased efficiency, provision of possibility of adjusting compression ratio in cylinders. 2 dwg
