FIELD: control of speed and power of rotary motion. SUBSTANCE: method consists in transmission of torque from drive pulley to driven one by means of belt. At least one pulley is made from movable rectilinear members forming surface of hyperboloid of revolution of one nape; these members are mounted for change of angle of inclination relative to plane of position of belt in order to change radius of surface embraced by it.
