FIELD: methods of checking and adjustment of twin machine gun barrel in tank turret. SUBSTANCE: after installation of machine gun the out-of-parallelism of the optical axis connected with the machine gun barrel relative to the base optical axis connected with the machine gun bed conjugated with the gun cradle is determined, after that parallelism of the above axes is attained by turning of bushes of the machine-gun mounting adjusting mechanism. The described method and device may find application in checking and installation of machine guns in tanks and combat vehicles after dismantling and provide for reproducibility of their position in tank or combat vehicle, which guarantees high accuracy adjustment operations. EFFECT: no need of use of large-sized equipment (adjustment board); fulfillment of adjustment operation in the conditions of cross-country when the tank cannot be positioned horizontally; adjustment can be performed in any time and in any weather conditions without leaving the tank. 7 cl, 4 dwg
