FIELD: military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to military equipment, particularly to artillery pieces. Disclosed method of determining the axis of the barrel bore when aiming at a remote point is based on the adjustment algorithm of the alignment device of sighting devices when using the probe of the alignment device with a television camera, installed inside the barrel bore from the muzzle end and consisting in fixing the position of the selected aiming point on the image using a movable mark on the display of the control panel with multiple successive turning of the probe through an angle of not more than 90°, and the subsequent construction of a circle circumscribed by the movable mark points, determining the camera matrix pixels corresponding to the centre of this circle, and forming a mark located in this centre and corresponding to the axis of the barrel bore for the subsequent production of alignment of sights by guiding the gun barrel with the help of vertical and horizontal guidance drives until the mark of the device is aligned with the alignment mark or aiming point, with subsequent estimation of misalignment of positions of axis of barrel bore and sighting marks of weapon sights.

EFFECT: high accuracy of alignment of optical sights.
