FIELD: mechanical engineering; laparoscopic surgery. SUBSTANCE: device has operating part, handle, tube and rod positioned in the latter. Rod is capable of axial displacement. Its working end is provided with loop which strengthens out as soon as it emerges from working end of tube. Device has also mechanism including spring under action of which rod moves backward between cannula and handle. Operating part of device is made in form of puncturing needle with bevel cut at its end and cannula. Method includes the following operations. Laparoscopy is performed. Suture thread is fixed in device. Thread is passed through tissues being sutured with subsequent making of knots. In this case, device is installed perpendicularly to skin surface on defect level. Through puncture of tissues is performed at place of suturing. Suturing thread is pulled out of loop. Device is moved backward, and through puncture at opposite edge of defect is performed. After through puncture of tissues in suturing region, end of thread is put in loop. Device with thread is brought to surface of tissues being sutured by its reverse stroke.
