FIELD: mine industry; main and coal hoists. SUBSTANCE: loads on bearing of both guide pulleys of hoist are measured with vehicle being in middle of shaft and results are compared and, basing on obtained value, mass of useful load in lifting vehicle is determined. Device has, additionally, second magneto-elastic force transducer located under bearing of second head-frame pulley, level change-over switches, two ballast resistors and memory. Two ballast resistors and two coils of magneto-elastic transducers form resistance bridge in which coils are connected in opposite arms of bridge, and input diagonally opposite pair of junctions is connected to ac source, and memory unit is connected to output diagonally opposite pair of junctions, being connected to it through pair of hermetically sealed reed relays located at one level but on opposite sides of shaft. Selection of pair of hermetically sealed reed relays of corresponding level is provided by two-pole level change-over switch. Each pair of hermetically sealed reed relays is connected in parallel.
