FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: C4-C15-olefins are isomerized by interaction with aromatic compounds under alkylation conditions to yield alkylated aromatic product and subsequent dealkylation thereof under dealkylation conditions to give dealkylated product containing indicated aromatic compounds and olefins corresponding to those used in alkylation process but having another framework distribution. In both reactions, acid catalysts are used such as molecular sieves. Reactions can be conducted either in direct-flow reactors with fixed cat bed or in catalytic distillation reactors. EFFECT: improved isomerization selectivity and facilitated separation of products. 33 cl, 4 dwg, 4 tbl, 5 ex
