FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: claimed comprises ceresin, paraffin, saturated C₁₀-C₂₂ fatty acids, unsaturated monocarboxylic C₁₀-C₂₂ acids, amino alcohol, antiseptic and water, the ratios of components being as follows (wt %): 2-10 ceresin; 2-10 paraffin; 2.5-14 saturated monocorboxylic C₁₀-C₂₂ acids; 0.1-7 unsaturated monocarboxylic C₁₀-C₂₂ acids; 0.5-60 aminoalcohol; 0.1-4.0 antiseptic, and the water balance. Polish is prepared by mixing molten mixture of high molecular weight components consisting of ceresin, paraffin, saturated and unsaturated C₁₀-C₂₂ acids and amino alcohol solution in the presence of antiseptic at temperature higher than melt melting temperature. Prepared melt and solution are mixed during heating operation to carry out saponification and emulsification of molten wax phase with aqueous solution in single stage. To impart desired coloring, dyes or pigments are added to aqueous solution.
