FIELD: development of light and motor-power regulators. SUBSTANCE: device has triac whose anode and cathode leads are connected in series with load to ac supply mains, bidirectional silicon switch, capacitor whose first lead is connected to first lead of variable resistor and second lead of the latter is connected to triac anode or to ac supply mains; capacitor second lead is connected to triac cathode; first anode of bidirectional silicon switch is connected to triac gate electrode and second anode, to first lead of capacitor; in addition, it has limiting resistor as well as first and second diodes; first lead of first diode is connected to first lead of limiting resistor; second lead of the latter is connected to second lead of variable resistor; second lead of first diode is connected to gate electrode of bidirectional silicon switch; cathode of second diode is connected to first lead of first diode. Circuit arrangement is such that first diode has its cathode connected to gate electrode of bidirectional silicon switch and anode of second diode is connected to gate electrode of triac. Proposed switching device may be built around low-voltage components with the exception of triac or may be made in the form of surface- wired hybrid circuit. EFFECT: reduced dissipation power; enlarged functional capabilities. 1 dwg
